BCSP wishes you a safe and sound New Year! In 2020, we will continue to defend security as a public good through opening space for dialogue based on research on key topics in Serbia, the region and Europe.

Take a look at the biggest BCSP successes of the year behind us.

BCSP Achievements

  • The , which BCSP initiated and co-publishes, has been ranked in the highest category in Serbia, equal with the best international journals (M24).
  • The 9th gathered over 600 participants, speakers and media representatives from around 30 countries in the discussion on the most important security topics. BCSP is gearing up with the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence and the European Movement in Serbia for the Jubilee 10th Belgrade Security Forum, to be held on October 21-23, 2020.
  • BCSP Executive Board Member Sonja Stojanovic Gajic received the given by the OSCE Mission to Serbia, due to the commitment to promoting civilian oversight of the security sector and youth involvement through the BCSP internship program.

BCSP Impact

BCSP Research

Changes marked the past year at BCSP is no longer BCSP Director and has moved to the . New BCSP Director is . During 2019, BCSP team was dedicated to improving research capacities, as well as developing the new website of the organization, which will be launched in early 2020.

    The Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) expresses deep concern over serious irregularities, abuses, and selective actions by members of the Ministry of Interior during the local elections held on June 8, 2025, in Zaječar and Kosjerić. We call for an immediate, independent investigation into all reported incidents. These events are part of a broader security context in which the police are increasingly failing to fulfill their primary role—protecting citizens and upholding the rule of law.
