Miroslav Hadžić, president of the Centre for Civil-Military Relations Managerial Board, presented on Monday, February 23 a lecture within the programme “School for European Security” entitled “The Reach of Euro Atlantic Interventionism”. He opened his lecture discussing the contents and meaning of the very notion of terms, interventionismand crisis.
The concept of crisis management makes for the birth-place of interventionism, believes Hadzic. “Crisis management”, by the way, “is not always the part of the solution, but is however, part of the problem”. As the most prominent contradiction in terms, layed out in the foundations of the concept, he identified the belief how human rights can be protected through violence.
Hadzic's conclusion is, that there is a redefinition of term interventionism in progress. That said, souvereignty can not be seen as an absolute category anymore.
