BCSP Director Contributed “EFB Community Meeting”
Besides speaking at the plenary panel about the connection between decision making and research experience, during "open space training" BCSP Director Sonja Stojanovic Gajic moderated lively discussion about whether Serbs and Albanians can resolve the issue of Kosovo.
The first “EFB Community Meeting” conference was held in Zagreb in period of 11-14 of October and brought together some 200 decision-makers from the region of the Western Balkans and across the European Union.
BCSP Director participated in the panel ““New ways of creating policy – Bridging the gap between researchers and policy makers”. The panel was focused on theoretical and practical contributions in building connections between evidence based research and policy for more effective policy decisions. Participants shared their experiences about the effectiveness of link between researchers and policy makers in the WB and Europe.
Also, in the “open space training” part of the conference Stojanovic Gajic was the moderator of one of the sessions, during which brainstorming and exchange of ideas unfolded about the possibilities of constructive solution of the conflict between Serbs and Albanians over the situation in Kosovo.
The three-day program of the European Fund for the Balkans was realized under the motto “People, Ideas and Networks.” The fruitful plenary sessions, discussions and open space communication served as an engine for developing new creative solutions, visions and concepts for bringing the Western Balkans closer to the EU and vice versa.
