BCSP Director at the side event of OSCE Ministerial Council in Basel

BCSP Director Sonja Stojanovic Gajic will be a speaker at panel discussion “How to re-consolidate European security as a common project”? which will take place as side event of 21st OSCE Ministerial Council in Basel. The event is scheduled for 15:15-17hrs, on December 4. Side event is organised by the OSCE Network of Think Tanks and Academic Institutions.

This Network side event is an opportunity to discuss the role of the Eminent Person Panel in the context of European security. This Panel will provide an opportunity to informally address the current crisis of European security. There is no more “business as usual” in relations among OSCE participating States; instead there is a danger of further escalation of tensions, and even a new division in Europe. This panel will explore options for reconsolidating European security as a common project. In this context the panel will also discuss how and under what conditions a dedicated reflection process by a high-level panel of eminent persons could make a difference to current efforts to address the crisis.
