On this day 23 years ago, the Belgrade Center for Security Policy started working.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs hired private security to guard the buildings of the Ministry of the Interior, with the explanation that it is cheaper and to relieve the police officers in order to do their main job. However, research shows the opposite - the price of the service of a hired private security company is more expensive than the comparable market price, but also than the price of a working hour paid to police officers for the same job. In addition, the Ministry of the Interior hired a company owned by the former State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior for these tasks.

The internship program of the Belgrade Center for Security Policy (BCSP) has existed for over 10 years, and so far over 200 young people have passed through it.
