New generation of BCSP interns

Belgrade Centre for Security Policy provides young people with the opportunity to gain direct research related experience through participation in the various activities of the security think tank.

During the introductory seminar twelfth generation of interns met with members of BCSP team, found out about the activities they will become part of, and had lectures on the basics of think tanks, and the concept of security sector reform.

After researchers presented themselfs and the projects they are currently engaged in, BCSP Director Sonja Stojanovic spoke about the history and characteristics of think-tanks and their role within the security sector.

Researcher and education coordinator Djordje Popovic gave a presentation on the history, mission and goals of the BCSP, and then held a lecture on the process of security sector reform in Serbia.

Over the next five months interns will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects ranging from Belgrade Security Forum, the launch of the new Yearbook of Security Sector Reform in Serbia and public opinion polls, all under the supervision of researchers.

Final task of each intern will be to write the paper, and the best among them will be published by the BCSP.
