The "Gender Mainstreaming: Indicators for the Implementation of UNSCR 1325 and its Related Resolutions" conference, held in Belgrade from May 26 to 27, 2014, brought together some of the top researchers, practitioners, and policymakers who work in the field of women, peace, and security, in which they exchanged ideas and best practices on the implementation of UNSCR 1325 and its related resolutions. This diverse and dynamic group of speakers and panellists offered new perspectives on how best to increase implementation and learn from the experiences of others.

Representatives of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) participated in the conference "Serbia and Albania: Do Perceptions Equal Reality?" which took place in Tirana, on May 23 and 24, and which was organised as part of the project that BCSP implements in partnership with the Albanian Institute for International Studies (AIIS).

Belgrade Centre for Security Policy provides young people with the opportunity to gain direct research related experience through participation in the various activities of the security think tank.

Considering that no research on this matter has been conducted in Serbia, this paper is pilot research and its intention is to encourage further research on this matter and other related issues.

At the Directorate for the Enlargement of the European Commission, a team of researchers from the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) presented the initial findings of the "Towards Europeanization: Monitoring established policies and practices in areas related to the asylum and readmission in the Serbian Republic" report.
