The Regional Dialogue on Gender and Security: Uniting Governments' and CSOs’ Efforts in Implementation of the UNSCR 1325 Agenda gathered 47 representatives from state agencies, government equality bodies, ministries of defence, ministries of interior, local civil society organizations and international organizations from the Western Balkans: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Serbia.

The NATO advanced research workshop reinforced the links between universities and think-tank community, and created a platform for future cooperation of most prominent experts in the field of counter-terrorism policy. The event has given all those involved food for thought on how to best address the issue of terrorist leaders, and produced a series of interesting exchanges and remarks.

The vast majority of citizens think that corruption is a widespread phenomenon in Serbia, but the number of those who believe that the level of corruption decreased a bit is growing while the belief that police is corrupted is very expressed, said representatives of the Belgrade centre for security policy (BCSP) during presentation of the results of public opinion poll „Citizens of Serbia on corruption in police".

The 13th generation of interns started with internship at the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy. Great interest in BCSP`s educational program resulted with more than 130 applications and out of strong competition " magnificent five" were selected.

A recent expert opinion on the causes of the accident at the ammunition factory „Prvi partizan" in Uzice established that the explosion was caused by bad gunpowder. These findings refute the findings of the previous expertise according to which human factor was the cause of the accident. Speakers at the round table held in the BCSP’s library noted that the global „Government Defence Anti-Corruption Index" stressed numerous risks from corruption were identified in Serbia’s defence system, with procurement being one of the principal problem areas, but Defence Ministry representative stated objections to TI UK’s methodology, and offered some advice for further research.

Twelfth generation of BCSP interns took part in the organization of two major conferences, participated in field research and made several appearances in media. Interns developed their skills in different workshops and seminars, published a great variety of articles in specialized bulletins and helped with the everyday activities in BCSP.
