BCBP PROJECTS
Pandemic management – lessons learned for a more secure future
The project focuses on the crisis management caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Serbia.
The goals of the project that Belgrade Centre for Security Policy conducts through informal partnership with the Doctors’ and Pharmacists’ Union of Serbia are:
1) Initiating a dialogue between the state and civil society on the health care reform and crisis management;
2) Networking and exchange of know-how between health workers, CSOs and journalists to respond more effectively to the crisis;
3) Raising the awareness of the Serbian citizens about the vaccination, as well as of what have been the current problems in the management of the pandemic and how they can be overcome.
In order to fulfil these goals, the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy will organize a dialogue between the state and civil society; conduct monitoring and analysis of the legal framework, policy decisions and their implementation in the context of the fight against the pandemic; prepare a report with recommendations on improving public policies and crisis management practices in accordance with democratic principles; organize four networking workshops with target groups on the project; conduct public advocacy towards domestic and foreign decision makers, citizens, associations and individuals.
