The drafting process and the content of the Action Plan for Chapter 24 were a topic for the first time in the discussion that gathered the President of the Negotiating Team and coordinators for all 10 policies within the chapter, more than 20 CSO and a great number of media representatives, at the session of the National Convention’s Working Group for Chapter 24.

Working group for Chapter 24 operates within the National Convent on the European Union in order to monitor the process of negotiations between Serbia and EU in the areas of freedom, security and justice. The group is consisted of representatives from civil society, the media and professional associations as well as individuals who are engaged in policies in these areas.

BCSP Director Sonja Stojanovic Gajic is the author of the study on threat perceptions in Serbia which is published by OSCE Network of Think Tanks and Academic Institutions as a part of the analysis "Threat Perceptions in the OSCE Area" .

During the next two weeks, Foto Duro from the Institute for Democracy and Mediation in Tirana will be a part of BCSP research team.

Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) requests from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Internal Affairs Sector (IAS) to inform public about the measures implemented for effective control of Gendarmerie and what results have been achieved in this field.

The current security situation at the local level, but also in Serbia and the region, the different approaches to solving security challenges and the legality of security services operations were the topics of discussion between Sonja Stojanović, Director of BCSP, and representatives of parliamentary parties youth, during a working breakfast organized by TransConflict.
