Ambassador of Australia in BCSP

Her Excellency Dr Helena Gay Studdert, Ambassador of Australia to Serbia will give a lecture "Not just a numbers game – personal perspectives on women, peace and security", on how to become a leader in male’s world of defence and diplomacy on 24th October 2013. at 15:00 in BCSP library.

Ambassador Studdert has rank of Captain and had served in Australian Military from 1978. until 1987, and she will speak about women in Australian Military based on personal expirience.

She has extensive diplomatic career serving at various positions. Prior to occupying her current position, she was Director of Consular Information Section at Consular Policy Branch, Director of Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Task Force and Director of Ministerial and Executive Liaison Section at the Executive Branch and has served overseas at the Australian High Commission in New Zealand. Ambassador Studdert holds a PhD in History and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Foreign Affairs and Trade from Monash University.

The lecture will be in English, but there will be simultaneous translation into Serbian language.
