How do citizens of Serbia perceive their own and their country’s security?

"Opinion poll" copyright by Greek Reporter.com Do you feel safe? If you feel safe, what is the main reason? How satisfied are you with the work of police? When was Serbia most secure? Would membership in NATO improve security of Serbia?

These are just some of the questions we asked 1,200 citizens of Serbia in the poll conducted by CeSID under the research design of BCSP in April 2011. This extensive survey reveals public attitudes on the security policies, perceptions of the institutions of the security sector as well as whether citizens of Serbia are willing to sacrifice personal freedom for the sake of a greater sense of security. Results of this study will be presented at a roundtable in Belgrade's Media Centre on June 9, 2011 starting at 11 a.m.
