The presentation of the ninth Collection of Policy Papers on Police Reform in Serbia

Three topics which are in the focus of the ninth Collection of Policy Papers on Police Reform in Serbia are: the importance of support to the police officers in stress management, the encouragement of successful fight against organized crime and police officers awareness rising through educational programs regarding human rights.

Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) and Belgrade Centre for Human Rights (BCHR) are organizing on 27th of February 2014 at 11am at Media Centre (Terazije 3) a presentation of the ninth Collection of Policy Papers on Police Reform in Serbia.

The speakers will be:

  • Saša Đorđević and Aurelija Djan from the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy,
  • Jan Litavski from the Centre for Development Policy and Cooperation and
  • Nevena Dičić Kostić from the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights.

They will present the main findings and provide policy recommendations on the following topics:

1.      The role of senior managers in psychological support of the police officers in relation to stress reduction;

2.      National capacities in the fight against organized crime;

3.      The role of educational programs for police officers in protection of human rights.

The Belgrade Centre for Security Policy and the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights are publishing the analysis of research findings on the process of police reform in Serbia for the sixth year in a row, supported by the OSCE mission in Serbia.
