Why Are Employees Leaving Serbia’s Army?

The position of employees in the defence system and the implementation of the law on the construction of apartments for members of the security forces are topics of the event that Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) organizes on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 11am at the Human Rights House (Kneza Milosa 4, Belgrade).

BCSP and Transparency Serbia will present two studies on the position of employees in the defence system, staff outflows and measures taken so far by the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence to retain employees, especially in the area of housing.

The main issues of discussion are:

  • How strong is the trend of personnel outflow in the defence system?
  • What are the main reasons for this?
  • What has the Ministry of Defence done so far to reduce the outflow of staff and what are the recommendations for further measures?
  • How does the integrity building process increase the satisfaction and retention of personnel in the defence system?

These questions will be answered by:

  • Nemanja Nenadić, Program Director of Transparency Serbia
  • Marija Ignjatijevic, BCSP researcher
  • Katarina Djokic, BCBP researcher
  • Ministry of Defence representative (TBC)

Translation to English will be provided.

Please confirm your participation by Wednesday, March 4, by email at office@bezbednost.org or by calling 011 3287 226.
