Citizens and police officers on corruption in the police service
The conference in the Media Center will introduce the eighth Collection of policy papers on the police reform. This publication was supported by the OSCE Mission in Serbia with the purpose to strengthen capacity of the civil society to follow the police reform process.
Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) and Belgrade Centre for Human Rights (BCHR) are organizing on 12 July 2013 at 11 AM a presentation of the latest research results on the police reform in Serbia.
At the conference in the Media Centre the researcher from BCSP Sasa Djordjevic and the researchers from BCHR Nevena Dicic Kostic and Jan Litavski will present the research outcomes in the three following areas:
1. Similarities and differences in the attitudes of citizens and police officers towards the corruption in police;
2. The role of the police in the protection of human rights of vulnerable groups in Serbia;
3. The successful implementation of the concept of community policing in Serbia.
The five years in a row BCBP and BCHR have published the research results on the police reform process in Serbia. This event shall present the eighth Collection of policy papers. The authors of this edition of policy papers will assess current state of affairs in the process of reform as well as give general and specific recommendations for the improvement of the police activity in Serbia.
