The Future of Security – Perspectives for Europe and Serbia
Three panel discussions and celebrations are part of the celebration of 18 years of work of the first civil society organizations in the Western Balkans specializing in questions of security policy.
Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) is organizing an international conference “The Future of Security – Perspectives for Europe and Serbia” which will be held on 16 December 2015 at the Mikser House.
The conference aims to gather Serbian decision-makers and representatives of international organisations, civil society, media and academia from Western Balkans and beyond to discuss the main challenges to future security policies in Europe and Serbia. Furthermore, the key dilemmas in regard to Security Sector Reform (SSR) in Serbia as well as the current relevance of the SSR concept will be critically assessed. Finally, the conference will provide an occasion for a debate on the achievements of civil society and the media in democratization of security.
