The assessment reports on civic participation trends and barriers and analyses four dimensions: the enabling environment for CSOs, organisational capacities and needs, civic participation trends, and barriers to engagement.
Together, they provide a comprehensive picture of civil society across the partner countries. The assessment is addressed to civil society organisations, public institutions at all levels of governance, EU bodies and international institutions, donors, researchers and policy analysts working on democratic governance in the region.
