Igor Bandović
Director
Igor Bandović has served as the Director of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) since November 2019, steering its mission to advance foreign and security policy in Serbia and the Western Balkans. During his tenure, he has overseen key initiatives, including the rebranding of the Belgrade Security Conference (BSC) in 2021 and the establishment of the Civil Committee for Whistleblowers and Activists the same year. His leadership has strengthened BCSP’s role in promoting democratic governance, the rule of law, and human rights, while enhancing transparency in the security sector.
With over 16 years of professional experience in international organizations, foundations, and civil society, Igor has deep expertise in security and foreign policy, political and economic development, EU integration, and capacity building. Known for his strong managerial skills, Igor has successfully led diverse teams and managed complex projects across various sectors. Previously, he served as a Senior Program Manager at the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB), where he directed initiatives such as the Gallup Balkan Monitor and the “Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group.” Earlier, at the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights, he focused on human rights education and transitional justice.
Igor has participated in numerous prestigious fellowships and training programs, including the German Marshall Fund Memorial Fellowship. His work reflects a lifelong commitment to advancing democracy, human rights, and security in Serbia and the wider region.
