The aim of the report is to present the greatest achievements in the process of NAP implementation for the period July 2012 - 2013, to point out the challenges faced within this process, and to suggest the measures to overcome these challenges and advance the implementation of the NAP.

BCSP activities in 2013 were highlighted by contributions to the systematic fight against corruption within police, military and security services, advancement of gender equality in security sector, opening of the dialogue on future of Serbian-Albanian relations and beginning of the independent monitoring of Serbia’s progress in chapters 23 and 24 of the EU negotiating process.

Characteristics of gender-based discrimination in the security sector were the subject of presentation held by BCSP Director at the seminar entitled "Towards effective and sustainable mechanism of trustworthy person", organized on 11. and 12. December 2013. at the House of Guards in Topcider.

The authors of eight Collection propose recommendations for improvement of the fight against corruption in the police, the realization of the concept of community policing and upgrading the role of the police in the exercise of and respect for the rights of vulnerable groups. This series is published with the support of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
