Civil Society against Organized Crime
Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP), with the support of the OSCE Mission in Belgrade, organizes the panel discussion "Civil Society against Organized Crime"
The role of civil society organizations in fighting against organized crime is the topic of the panel discussion that will take place on 16 March at 15:30 in the BCSP premises. During the discussion there will be a presentation of the “Mafia? Nein, danke!” initiative from Germany.
Also, there will be a presentation on the role of the Parliament in fighting organized crime through the presentation of Italian Anti-mafia Parliamentary Committee’s activities.
The language of the panel discussion is Italian. Simultaneous translation to Serbian will be provided by the organizers.
The participants of the panel discussion are:
- Laura Garavini, MP of the Italian Parliament and the founder of the “Mafia? Nein, danke!” initiative
- Riccardo Guido, advisor to the Anti-mafia Parliamentary Committee in the Italian Parliament

The panel discussion will focus on the role and means that civil society organizations can employ in their efforts to contribute to fighting against organized crime. Also, there will be a discussion on the ways to research and monitor the activities of organized crime groups and how, through close cooperation with citizens and institutions, it is possible to help find solutions to this problem.
